Our all-time favourite cyber basket of fresh produce and pantry staples. Working directly with thousands of farmers, their grains and cereals, spices and flours are all organic/natural and acquired with a focus on agricultural diversity and sustainability. Restaurateur Aditi Dugar (Masque, TwentySeven Bakehouse, Araku Coffee) loves to catch up with their ketchup made from 88% fresh organic tomatoes + 8% raw sugar, with no additives or artificial colours. Sancha Tea: Ceremonial Grade Super Matcha

We’re celebrating the advent of the monsoon as well as the arrival of ceremonial grade matcha from Uji, Japan at Sancha Tea’s boutiques. Naturally balanced with a mildly alkaline pH of 7.2-7.8, it is packed with bioavailable minerals like calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium, and also has a balanced TDS of 270-330 mg/L which elevates the taste of food it is paired with. The Manduva Project: Tomato Crisps

You won’t be able to stop at one. Seriously. Made from sago, fresh tomato juice, green chillies and salt in Andhra Pradesh, these tomato crisps are light once fried while the tomato seeds offer a textured appearance to the chip. Chef Thomas Zacharias at The Locavore describes it as “starting off with a robust umami-ness, the crisps leave a sweet tomato finish on the palate”. We’re all for tom-toming these tomatoes!

Manam Chocolate: Candied Orange Wheels

Manam Chocolate does wondrous things with cacao grown in the West Godavari region. If you haven’t had the chance to visit their flagship Hyderabad and brand new Delhi experience centres - think chocolate fountains, nerdy cacao classrooms, live patisseries, DIY chocolate stations…the works - visit them online to shop the best tablets, bonbons and snacking chocolate. Our favourites: candied orange segments dipped in chocolate and a Guntur chilli drinking chocolate.

Malido: Handmade Chocolates & Zingy Mustard

Malido at Kala Ghoda is a cute in-dining cafe, but they also sell two of our favourite things over the counter: mustard and melt-in-your-mouth chocolates. Imagine roasted California almonds rolled in rich Belgian Callebaut chocolate; hand rolled truffles dusted with Dutch cacao powder; Sicilian pistachio bonbons; and caramel chocolate topped with flaky sea salt. Balance out the sweetness of this goodie bag with a jar of their no-nasties mustard which is pungent, sweet, sour and a little spicy.

Home Food Studio: Old Dilli Mathri and Aachar

Her brother-in-law Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra may have brought the purani Delhi aesthetic to the movies with Delhi-6, but it’s Anupama who really knows how to bottle up its essence in a pickle jar. bpb food reviewer Prerna Makhija especially loves Anupama’s ghee-soaked, incredibly crumbly ajwain-specked mathris that can be mix-and-matched with one of the 12 homemade aachars; favourites include summer special Katpati Chatpati Kairi, Bharwan Lal Mirch and Nimbu Khatta Meetha.

Hatti & Giraffe: Puranpoli Lites

Few people can make mithai and namkeen look as chic as Hatti & Giraffe does. Get the Orange Nankhatai - with candied orange peels and fennel seeds -- where a traditional biscuit gets a citrusy twist. The Roasted Pohe Chivda is made from a traditional recipe, and the Thalipeeth Crackers are a fun snack to munch on while watching a monsoon cloud drift by. Also bookmark their excellent mithai for the upcoming festivities and for when you need a box of Crackling Besan Barfi for no reason other than satisfying a craving. We love their Anjeer Pedha and Anjeer Modaks and their bestselling Anti-Dessert Ladoos (a flavourful mix of 10 dried fruits and nuts; great for post-workout energy) and the fact that they have a tin box of Puran Poli Lites sweetened with jaggery and laced with nutmeg, perfect for any day.

Cacio e Pepe: Whipped Ricotta

Our favourite artisanal fresh pasta sellers have a new Bandra pastificio (pasta factory) where you can stop by for pick-ups and soon, even attend workshops. Besides uncooked pasta fresca - menu changes every Monday - Cacio e Pepe also does pantry items (look up their excellent whipped ricotta with confit tomatoes) and sourdough focaccia, all of which can be packed in a gift box with local parmesan cheese and fresh sage. If you’d rather send your darlings some dolci, we recommend their Amaretti al Limone.

Bundtit Queen: Bundt Cakes

An archeologist walks into a bar…well, more like a kitchen and she starts whipping up some of the greatest hits in the Indian culinary world. Excavator and Chef Rhea Dalal is a Bengali cuisine virtuoso but wears many other hats. One of them is running a boutique 40-year old catering service Katy’s Kitchen with her husband Kurush Dalal where traditional Parsi food meets the modern world. Chef has also gained notoriety as the ‘Bundtit’ Queen of Maximum City, baking beautiful Bundt cakes that are easy on the eyes but even better on the taste buds. No matter the shape, size or appetite, there is a bundt, bundtlette or a loaf cake out there for everyone.

An Ekayana Farm: Haul From The Himalayas

Production designer Avyakta describes her state as being “in between films and farms”. She recently moved from Goa to a village near Shimla -- 7000 feet in the Himalayas -- that has only five houses, including her farm. Here, Avyakta is practising organic regenerative farming while working on a five year plan that includes a fruit forest, an heirloom seed bank and a farm stay for you.
