Half Full Curve: Rixi and Tinka may sound like Enid Blyton characters, but what they really are is strong, sexy women who’ve launched a new clothing label for curvy ladies. Rixi (formerly one half of fashion label Quirkbox) and Tinka (previously one fourth of the Attic store) are delivering formal and semi-formal ensembles in raw silks, georgette chiffons and cleverly blended fabrics with texture and structure. “So many plus-size labels assume that curvy women want to wear neutral colours and loose anti-fit clothes. Our designs break away from the traditional norms of what curvy style should be,” they promise. Curve your enthusiasm! And FYI: Their show at Lakme Fashion Week this month was scored by a thunderous applause.

Isharya: If you haven’t heard of Gauri and Radhika Tandon’s Isharya brand of jewellery, you’ve been living under a (shiny) rock. Now available in 60 countries at uber luxe stores including Harvey Nichols, Bloomingdale’s, Aza and more, Isharya also recently launched a flagship Bandra shop. The jewellery is glamorous – chandelier earrings, jewel-encrusted cuffs, bold cocktail rings – but the newest and loveliest thing about them is NOW, a party-ready collection of bespoke accessories at the Bandra store. Get your name personalised on textured marble-acrylic clutches; buy a bib necklace layered with strands of Japanese cotton pearls, shell pearls and velvet cord, customised with Isharya’s signature 3D Louvre lettering alphabets on chain or leather.

Isharya, 302 A wing Dheeraj Sneh Pali Naka, 30th Road, Bandra (W), visit, also available at Aza outposts, follow them on Instagram @isharya.

Mr Shift: You've known and loved designer Nimish Shah’s easy, breezy dresses, now alert your boyfriend about Mr Shift. Nimish's new menswear capsule features marigold jackets, work shirts, high-rise pleat pants and kurtas with hoodies. Jealous? Mr Shift's soft, checkered jumper is something you can steal from your boyfriend's closet once you convince him to buy it. We already did.

Runaway Bicycle: Designer Preeti Varma’s advertising roots are evident in the way she names her collections – Good Night at 6 am, We All Grew Up With Gum In Our Hair, Welcome To Adulthood, Latecomers etc – and the clothes themselves are great examples of why switching careers so late was a good idea. Crafted from pure handloom khadi, linen and cotton and what feels like clouds, their new collection Sincerely Yours is just what you need to start 2018 with: see Dear Monet and Dear Nona
