When Bandra’s trendiest kid crosses the Sea Link, it’s only fitting that it should be in the custody of Colaba’s chicest baby sitter.
Starting this weekend (April 26) until May 4, Born will be popping up at Le Mill, Colaba. High-end label Born was well, born earlier this year, and opened a store in Bandra during Valentine’s month, causing all moms and dads to have crushes on mini frocks and jumpers, pajamas and track suits for babies and kids aged 3 months to 8 years. The store is run by Parissienne designer Elodie Le Derf Awchat, in partnership with Antonia Achache and Jeremie Sabbagh who co-own Suzette and Kitchen Garden.
Babble Rouser: What To Expect At The Pop Up
If you missed our February story on Born, here’s a quick cheat sheet: Elodie uses ethically sourced natural fabrics, and her background as a couturier makes her super fussy about details like neat French seams and pocket linings. The result: a local vibe with an unmistakable French aesthetic.
The designs for little boys and girls are simple, and the quality is stand-out; South Bombay moms and dads, go to Le Mill to browse jungle print jumpers, maxi dresses printed with crows, summer-proof white kurta shirts, delicately embroidered dresses in peach and foam green, cloud-soft T-shirts and their new collection of casual knit trousers in colours of an elephant and a marshmallow.
Our favourite: white blouse with Peter Pan collar; and nautical print knit trousers. All aboard!
Getting there: Born pops up at Le Mill, Colaba, from April 26 to May 4. For more information, follow @world_of_born on Instagram.
