145 years later, Levi’s is celebrating 501 Day, in honour of the pair of jeans that started it all.

Want the skinny (jeans) on the best party in town?

Here goes: on May 20, Levi’s is having an epic party at Famous Studio, where you get to watch performances by some of the biggest hip hop DJs from around the world, including those that have played with Kanye, Jay-Z and Kardinal Offishall.

You will also get to shop limited edition collections and walk into their pop-up Tailor Shop, where you can personalise your pair of Levi’s with DIY patches, embellishments, fraying and any other creative details you think up.

Here’s a look at the hip hop artists that will be performing on Levi’s 501 Day:

At just 20, DJ Craze won his first DMC World DJ Championship and has toured with Kanye West as his personal DJ. He’s known for his top-notch showmanship, and a special blend of hip-hop, trap, rap, drum and bass, dubstep, and Miami bass.

Stretch and Bobbito
During the 1990s, Stretch and Bobbito introduced the world to Nas, Biggie, Wu-Tang, and Big Pun as well as an unknown Jay-Z, Eminem, and the Fugees, who went on to become legendary rappers. Record sales for the artists that premiered on their radio show exceed 300 million.

Natasha Diggs
Natasha Diggs is one of the most versatile and well-respected DJs in the world. Her sets come from a deep knowledge of music and turntable skills behind the decks at clubs in New York, Tokyo, Berlin, Prague, Sydney, and Beijing. She has shared the stage with legends like Erykah Badu, Rakim, and Questlove.

DJ Shortkut
A pioneering turntablist with veteran credentials in battle DJ competitions. He’s played at legendary underground dance parties like The Boiler Room.
Co-founders DJ MoCity and Dualist Inquiry, in addition to the New Delhi community radio station’s innermost crew-slash-resident DJs - Rohan Kale, MadStarBase and Abhi Meer - Boxout Soundsytem offers a refined, 360-degree take on music in all its forms packaged as India's first community radio.

DJ Ishani
Her unique style smoothly mixes the sounds of old and new schools of Hip-Hop. The clever merging has made her a club regular in Mumbai, from where she often flies out to share stages with international DJs like Kardinal Offishall and Camouflage.

Throw on a pair of Levi’s and come celebrate what it means to be a true original.
