Conscious Foods: The folks at Conscious Foods deserve a medal. They’ve been keeping us healthy since 1990 via their curated range of organic and natural cereals, flours grains, pulses, natural sugars, power-packed snacks, seeds, nuts and cold-pressed oils. They also maintain an ethical supply chain, and source responsibly grown-produce, promote indigenous varieties and follow sustainable practices wherever possible. Their single-flower Harde Honey is our favourite, collected once a year from the bee-keepers of Maharashtra. Make a bee line, people.
Danz’s Foods: Vikram and Aditi Dangi deliver and offer monthly subscription models on healthy bread baskets, including multi-grain, whole-wheat and gluten-free quinoa breads. Psst: they also sell whole cane jaggery powder. Sweet!
Little Food Daily: Here’s one of the best routes to conscious cooking: outsource it. More specifically, outsource it to Little Food Daily. The wholesome food delivery service has daily and weekly specials that range form beetroot feta falafels with hummus and tahini to Cantonese style steamed fish + soba noodles and Mexican fajita brown rice bowls. Apart from main meals, they also do all-day eggs, salads, wraps and rolls. And, they have arrive in Bandra on Sep 2! Roll out the green carpet.
Mo’s Kefir: Moina Oberoi delivers this probiotic yogurt drink created by good bacteria she affectionately calls ‘Danny’. Super do-gooder kefir is all anyone can talk about, and Moina makes these in blueberry, honey-vanilla, mango-palm, Himalayan pink salt chaas and plain flavours. Since its launch in 2015, she’s also collaborated with a bunch of restaurants to create seasonal specials like the jamun kefir.
Raw Pressery: Their cold pressed juices work on your gut and your glow, and it’s really hard to beat that. Cucumber, Valencia oranges, activated charcoal, coconut water, sugarcane juice and a lot more go into the making of these. They even have a new range of Soup-er soups!
Sancha Tea Boutique: Get your superfood tea fix at Sancha’s tea retail boutiques, each presided over by a master tea sommelier. They have over a 100 blends built with flowers and herbs and spices, each cup narrating a history and proving a host of health benefits. They also have gorgeous gift packs, perfect for the upcoming season.
Vibe Liqueteria: This sugar and dairy free smoothie shop is exactly where you want to get your breakfast. And lunch. And dinner. Because health here does not come without taste; try Be Berry Berry Quiet, a fruity concoction or go healthy with a green avocado smoothie called Give Me Sunshine. Chocolate addicts should not miss the Bro Bro section! Special mention for their Boosters which can be added into any of their drinks, and are an “amalgamation of superfoods, herbs and vitamins” that augment specific aspects of your wellbeing, including weight loss, muscle recovery and that thing which plagues you most - hangovers.
