Savor Kitchen: The kids behind the Secret Supper Club and frou-frou lunch dabba service Savor, now have a new room with a view. The Savor Kitchen in Lower Parel, has a soaring ceiling with a skylight, which can be visited in small parties or booked out entirely. This “anti-restaurant” does not allow walk-ins, which means breakfast and lunch services need to be booked an hour in advance, and dinner, a day before. Now open.

Xico: CIA educated, Scott Linquist, culinary director at Coyo Taco Miami and ex Dos Caminos, is setting up a “modern Mexican” restaurant at Kamala Mills as we speak. With partners Sahil Saigal and Shiraz Patel (of Trikaya), he hopes to take you away from Tex-Mex and introduce you to Mexican flavours via fresh ingredients. Sounds delicious, but the all-day agave cocktails are what you should really be excited about. Cheers! Opens in September 2017.

Yoku Moku: The buttery Yoku Moku, makers of some of Japan’s dreamiest/creamiest cookies is travelling westward. Show up with flours at their store opening in Fort on August 12 and pick us up a pack of chocolate cigars.

Tasse de The: The luxury tea brand is currently building its Victorian style tea café with vintage accents and towering ceilings at Fort, next to Zara. You best calm your nerves here before braving that shopping sale riot. Choose from over 300 teas and blends, and a list of savoury dishes that use tea as a key ingredient. Opens in September 2017.
