The ocean + Chingri Malaikari sounds ideal. Add a Portuguese villa in the mix and it becomes ideal(lic).
Welcome to Mustard's brand new Goa address, set inside a refurbished Portuguese villa in Anjuna. In its new avatar - the Bengali, French restaurant was previously at Sangolda - Mustard is all lush and love thanks to the floral accents of Laura Ashley and co-founders' Punam and Shilpa's eye for all things beautiful. Inside, pastel licks of paint and vintage art from Kolkata give Mustard a relaxed yet chic vibe, and the garden outside makes for a lovely al fresco section. Best casa scenario!
Their prized food and cocktail menu from Mustard Mumbai is available here, with all the signature dishes that you love. Go savour the French Onion Soup, Compressed Lamb in Red Wine Sauce and Onion Tarte from their French menu, and Til Tel Kathi, Fish Paturi and Mutton Jhalferezi from their Bengali one. Here, you really are spoilt for choice.
Sharing this villa with Mustard are three boutique lifestyle concepts - Ellementry, Shades of India and Coffee Expressions by Post Box. Which means that you can place your food order at Mustard, walk around, browse and buy, and return right in time to feast on your Machher Jhaal.
It's just how they do things in Goa.
