For Goa carnival this year, you’re thinking sparkly, plumed headgear; while we’re imagining flaky puff pastry hats topped with chorizo and tamarind chili hollandaise.

Blame it on O Pedro, BKC, where every weekend from now until April end is dedicated to curing your Goa carnival FOMO. You couldn’t make it out to the Sunshine State, but come to Fat Carnival for non-stop festivities.

We’re talking poee, partying and Pedro style music. From noon to 4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, chef Hussain will put out his best Goan and Portuguese delicacies reimagined, including poee flat bread ‘pizza; Roasted Chicken Peri-Peri; Breadfruit ‘Benny’ Brunch Eggs with poached eggs; breadfruit hash on top of a flaky puff pastry with tamarind chili hollandaise; Chorizo Benedict; Raw Banana Bhakri Tacos; Pork Chops Assado; and Lamb Shank Aadmas. A mini shop selling this and that, but most appealingly, gin jelly sweets meets you can arrange for the best back presents as well.

And finally, in association with Stranger & Sons, a sexy bar awaits – gin cocktails mixed and fused with indigenous ingredients like cape gooseberries, perus and chillies. Two local bands The Latecomers (wait, you started a band?!) and The Vindaloos – will score your afternoon fiesta. And by God, there will be dancing!
