This Independence Day don’t just wear your patriotism, eat it too at The Bombay Canteen’s special dawaat. This incredible culinary feast will be laid out to bring in all the elements and diversity that India has to offer.

And it’s not just about edible delights; this meal has its heart in the right place too. This year’s fund raiser The Bombay Canteen is in support of The Miracle Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports orphaned children and helps them thrive in real time with measurable, systematic methods to ensure that they are educated and cared for. The menu will take you around the country and at the end of the meal you pay what you like for this noble cause.

This scrumptious meal brings you regional delicacies served on a banana leaf in a community style experience. It’s India on a platter with Chef Thomas Zacharias and team’s soulful menu inspired by dishes from across twelve states, including Mangalorean Chicken Curry, Punjabi Smoked Red Pumpkin Bharta, Lucknavi Soy Kheema Mutter, Kashmiri Simla Mirch and Kerela Mandeli Fry to name drop. All of this comes accompanied with unusual chutneys and tri-colour papads and of course the grand meal rounds off with Til Gud Cake and Tiranga Barfi, a popular Maharashtrian dessert.
So bring your flags and your appetite and eat for a good cause this Independence Day at The Bombay Canteen.

Getting there: Unit 1, Process House, Kamala Mills, Lower Parel. Lunch service only, from 11:30am to 3.30 pm. First come, first serve.
