Chopsticks and bricks and a whole lot of love have been used to re-build The House of Mandarin, Bandra's lovely Chinese restaurant. The revamp not only involves spruced up interiors by hot-on-the-scene Minnie Bhatt, but also a menu full of amazing new dishes.
The 'Mandarin Makeover' promises a melding of contemporary and classic. It's lovely for a meal, but also for a fun night out involving small plates, big drinks and friends of all shapes and sizes. Sit in a pale jade green room, surrounded by Chinese blue and white porcelain and order your Peking Style Glazed Pork Ribs. You're welcome.
A large chunk of the new menu additions focuses on a variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian dumplings (we can't wait to try the Seafood Dumpling with Vanilla & Truffle Butter). Other new dishes you should bookmark and day dream about before your next visit: Shaolin Vegetable Pot with Tofu & Glass Noodles, Tenderloin Mandarin Style, Wok tossed Lamb in Hoisin Sauce, Peking Style Glazed Pork Ribs, Pumpkin & Chilli oil dumpling, Ikura Sushi & Snow crab tempura roll.
Ming it on!
