Oh my cod! There’s a fragrant new festival at CinCin, BKC and we’re swimming towards it. Cast a net for Si! Si!, a seafood festival inspired by the Italian tradition of Feast of the Seven Fish.
Until Feb 29, the the Italian restaurant and bar at BKC, will be stocking a big sea bounty for you - think flavourful crustaceans and fresh fish, garnished with spices and squeezes of Italian lemons.
The special festival menu allows you to start on a high note - there’s a Bruschetta Con Granchio E Avocado (toasted bread, crab meat with avocado and chilli) and Fritture Di Mare (a mix of crispy golden fried white bait, baby squid, prawns served and best enjoyed with beer). Meanwhile, no menu of CinCin is complete without a rustic, handmade pasta; here options include Chittara Con Bottarga (cured mullet fish roe and capers); Mezzelune Calamaretti E Pomodorini (stracciatella stuffed pasta with baby squid); Grana Padano (cheese with tomato sauce); and Risotto Alla Crema Di Gamberi (carnaroli rice, prawn bisque with a light tomato cream sauce).
Us, we’ll be feasting on a pillow-y Napoli style Frutti Di Mare pizza, embellished with clams, prawns, baby squid and other jewels of the sea. Or make a meal out of their icy Limoncello slush paired with a Tortino Di Baccalá Caviale, a buttery seafood tart stuffed with Indian cod, crabmeat and caviar.
