On June 21, two culinary cool cats come together: Toast & Tonic and Danda Food Project are now friends.
We know what you're thinking; yes, you can sit with them. Specifically on June 21 at dinner, when the BKC restaurant and the city's favourite food pop up put out the second edition of Sharing Table, a theme based meal where you get to dine with interesting strangers.
This edition's theme is Gin & Botanicals, which means your six course meal will be fresh and fragrant. Imagine your favourite gin cocktails deconstructed and served as food!
The 1stCourse is Lavender, Rosemary and Pepper and offers fresh Buffalo Cheese and Focaccia. This is followed by Course 2 of Cucumber & Rose inspired by the favorite combination found in Toast's signature G&T cocktail Ms. Rose & Col Cucumber, where gin cured Norwegian Salmon is served with a cucumber and buttermilk sauce, and a drizzle of rose oil made with dried rose petals. Next up is Course 3, Saffron, Sage & Fennel comprising butter-poached rock lobster with gnocchi and sauce bouillabaisse. Meanwhile, Negroni,a classic cocktail, has been deconstructed and featured with a five-spice dusted duck breast, Vermouth-orange sauce, and a Campari-marinated orange in Course 4; while course 5 ie Lemongrass, Galangal, Basil, Coriander and Mint,is a Singapore Laksa, prawns, ridge gourd and vermicelli.
At the end, keep room for a G&T dessert of Juniper-infused mousse splashed with Bombay Sapphire Gin & Svami Cucumber Tonic Jelly.
Gin & Botanicals will be held on Thursday June 21, 2018 at 8 pm, this six course meal with two cocktails is priced at Rs. 3000 inclusive of taxes per head.
