Spoon this noon delight: The Boston Butt, Bandra’s new charcuterie, smokery and bar, has launched Sunday brunch and it is swell!
First order of brunch business – cocktails. The bar hops from the French quarters of New Orleans to the Pre-Prohibition era for inspiration, and the result is a menu featuring beer cocktails (Beer’s Knees, Clockwork Orange); creamy brunch cocktails (Peaches & Cream, Mudslide and Pina Colada); and Brunch Martinis (Breakfast Martini and Always Bean You). Non drinkers can order thick shakes, Vietnamese iced coffee, iced eea and full fibre smoothies.
Next, get a seat and egg on the kitchen that will send out steak with egg and hash, Egg Benny on Cinnabon with bacon and truffle scramble, Texas toast with smoked chicken; and a slew of bar bites like Bloom Bread, Crunchy Baby Corn, Smoked Mozzarella Chilly, Hot Smokey Chicken Lollipops, Shrimp & Chorizo Pao. The Boston Butt classic House Larder Board will also make an appearance plus a Raw Bar consisting of smoked tuber salad, vegan warm couscous salad and more.
The part Boston Butt is most proud of is the BBQ section: 7 hours, low and slow smoked pork rib, 12 days dry-cured and aged smoked bacon; while large plates like 4 Cheese Mac and Cheese, Vegan Lap Cheong BBQ Fried Rice, Steak of the Day, half pounder buff cheese burger; and ultra-thin crust mini pizzas are also available.
