Bar Stories is back, O Pedro’s super fun series of one-night-only events where guest bartenders and mixologists – they’ve hosted 12 so far - from around the world, stop by to shake things up. On September 4, 8 pm onwards, Bangkok’s Deepak Soni brings his flair for storytelling and crafting Asian-inspired Tiki cocktails to the BKC restaurant. FYI: Deepak manages the famous Moon Bar at Banyan Tree, which was nominated in the Top 10 Hotel Bars (2019) Asia Pacific List by the Tales Spirited Awards.

Deepak has tweaked his favourite cocktails to incorporate all things Bombay; see and sea attached: Peas & Versova (Havana Club, 3YO Rum with mint, green peas syrup, a touch of Fino Sherry with a dash of Absinth); Konkan Tiki-Tini (a modern style Tiki drink with coconut oil fat washed Beefeater gin, Bianco Vermouth, kokum, pineapple juice and a dash of Jameson, wild seaweed bitter); Juhu Blossom (a clarified cocktail of goats milk, Absolute vodka, coconut water, dry vermouth and lychee with cranberry Pandan syrup); Irish in Colaba (Jameson Irish whiskey, pineapple liqueur, home-made coconut cold brew, Tiki bitter and brown syrup) and the Irish Chai Latte (Irish whiskey Indian style, Jameson Irish whiskey).

True to O Pedro’s chilled style, no reservations are required. Just pop by, find a perch, and let Deepak read you your bedtime story with a drink in your hand.
