Chop suey to the beat of an old tune this month, as Mamagoto goes old school. This season, the Asian restaurant is turning its menu to the tune of vintage Indo-Chinese.
Go back to the days when restaurants “still used table cloths, red lanterns and Chinese music that nobody seemed to understand.”
Take a seat and the kitchen will send out appetisers like Won Ton Clear Soup, Bombay Club Sesame Toast, Mussoorie Mall Road Spring Rolls, The Original Salt and Pepper, Jeng’s Chicken. Also making a comeback on this menu are Stir Fried Mains - from Hong Kong Veggies to Mapo Tofu; Chicken in Oyster Sauce; and Buttery Black Pepper Sauce Tofu.
And for the grand finale, that dreamy 1990s special, Chop Suey. The best part: the prices promise to be vintage too!
Is that the clicking of chopsticks we hear?
