Here's a memo on how to (salad) dress for summer, issued by the restaurant that knows  your seasonal tastes all too well. Until May 30, Toast & Tonic, BKC is serving a list of special summer salads - Dressed for Summer - with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. 

We're partial to the fruity salads - there's a Peach and Plum one with a tangy, sharp apricot-kasundi dressing; and a golden Mango Barley and Wheat Berry Salad with avocadoes, peanuts and mixed millets in a refreshing yoghurt dressing. 

On the savoury side, seek and you shall find a Mixed Summer Lettuce Salad drenched in a basil balsamic dressing; a complex, multi-textured Bean and Roast Squash Salad with tomatoes, cilantro, Bandel cheese and dates accentuated by a light oregano spiked dressing. 

And here's the cherry (tomato) on top: you have the option to customise each salad too. add fresh-grilled prawns to liven up your salad or chicken or an indulgent fistful of crispy bacon.
