21 types of sangria + 4 types of frozen margaritas + 7 signature cocktails + lots of spirits, beer and wine. When you do the math, it all adds up to a super fun all-day bar – Rassasy by Barcelos, new at The Orb, Next to J. W. Marriot Sahar.

This is South African giant Barcelos’ new culinary concept that made its world debut in Mumbai last week. The grill kitchen and bar franchise, owned by Gaaurav Anil Jethmalani, is all light and love, with an ample dining space, a creative bar and a large indoor smoking section with windows. The bountiful kitchen mostly pays homage to 50s and 60s European, American, Mexican and Portuguese cuisine and also includes a few nods to its South African roots. Signature dishes include the Piri Piri chicken wings and flame grilled whole chicken, Espetadas, grilled salmon with pesto sauce, burritos, sizzlers and Lasagne de Carnevale. Also, the 4 worldwide famous sauces: Veri peri, Supa peri, Mild peri and Tangy lemon, are now available at Rassasy by Barcelos.

At the bar, we’ve already done the math for you (see above); may we recommend the Gin Jardim, Piri- Piri Daiquiri, Purple Pineapple, Bourbon on the Beach, Rum Sour and Oceans Sunset.

While Rassasy is a pit stop for anyone who wants to have a good time, it’s also an after-office bar for those working in the area, and given it location near the international airport, it’s a great place to meet friends visiting and leaving the city too. Rassasy also opens its gates for bookings and private parties. Coming soon: excellent programming that will feature retro-music live acts, karaoke nights, comedy nights, poetry slam nights.

Two Robert frosty glasses of beer, please!

Getting there: The ORB, next to JW Marriott Sahar, IA Project Road, Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Andheri (E), call 9111900003, noon to 1 am daily.
