As birthday introspections go, The Pantry Café at Kala Ghoda – they turned six this year – is doing quite well.
The cafe, it seems, is turning over a new leaf and you should too. Adding to their already robust list of healthy options, is a great new addition: guilt free pizza.
Think low carb pies with a cauliflower base, freshly made spreads, locally sourced artisanal cheese and seasonal toppings that are actually good for you.
The keto friendly menu includes a Vegan Delight Pizza made using homemade cashew cheese, fresh avocado and spotted beetroot puree topped with crunchy sesame; Arabian Rooster with La Ferme’s lofabu and homemade ricotta along with za’atar spiced grilled chicken and pickled red cabbage.
Also see, Miso Good, with pulled stracciatella cheese from Eleftheria, local chickpea miso; and Masterchef India finalist Karishma Sakhrani’s Flower Power Pizza topped with the goodness of tomato sauce, reduced fat cheese, mushroom and roasted garlic.
End with The Fruit Cow, lovingly built with The Spotted Cow Fromagerie’s camembert and topped with seasonal fruit. It’s the apple of our eye.
