Kokum, rum and a happy beach bum. O Pedro, BKC’s new all-day bar and restaurant will evoke all things Goan, while also schooling you in the state’s rich diversity and history through a kitchen with Catholic, Saraswat and Portuguese influences. O Pedro comes to you from Hunger Inc. Hospitality, the team behind The Bombay Canteen, so you know your Choriz Pulao will be spot on, courtesy chefs Floyd Cardoz, Thomas Zacharias and Hussain Shahzad.
The bar also pays homage to old Goan taverns with home brews, infused spirits and a bartender who leans heavily towards rum. The O Pedro team recommends the Pina-Baga-Lada made with kaffir lime-infused rum, cream, Indian spice mix syrup, orange juice and pineapple purée; Mr. Fernandez’s Fancy Drink featuring kokum-infused rum; and a concoction that combines our two favourite beach beverages: nariyal pani and beer!
