A tomato’s throw away from Sequel and The Bombay Salad Co. is Farmers’ Café, a new all-good, all-well restaurant that will open in Bandra on Thursday, August 10.
The makers of The Nuttyway granola bars run the kitchen here, where they promise that majority of the ingredients will be organic, and the focus will be on “vegan, gluten-free food” (but meat is on the menu too).
The beverage list has an option for every Bandra personality type: the Body Booster with turmeric and ginger; Belly Burner with ginger, lemon, organic jaggery; Cacao Recharge with raw cacao, nuts and seeds; Oats Salted Caramel Smoothie with gluten free oats, homemade salted caramel; and of course, everyone’s current main squeeze – Golden Milk also known to your grandma as haldi ka doodh.
We’re looking forward to the many egg options – akuri, Benedict, organic cheese and herb omelette, plus dishes like kheema pav and Famer’s pancakes. If you’d like a slow initiation into the health food world, start with their list of pizzas, including a pie with skim mozzarella, parmesan and cheddar that they call The High School pizza.
No, you can't sit with us.
Getting there: Farmers’ Cafe, Shop No. 2, Rita Apartments, 16th Road, Bandra (W), call 7506015930, 9 am to 11 pm. Opens on August 10.
