You've seen chef Boo Kim perform at Bastian and One Street Over before; now prepare for his solo gig.
On June 21, shutters go up at Dirty Buns, his new bar and restaurant at Kamala Mills, that will replace Xico. Dirty Buns asks that you be prepared for dramatic flavours, and "the best rolls, baos, fries and desserts you've tasted". The menu highlights chef Boo’s experiences growing up in Chicago while also taking taking inspiration from his time in India. Dream about Dirty Fries, Mac N Cheese Rolls, Meatball Rolls, Korean Fried Chicken and Tofu Baos and seasonal donuts.
The bar wants to stick to "perfectly poured" classic cocktails, and keep the vibe super laid back, which sounds like exactly where you want to be from Monday to Sunday.
Dirty Buns opens on June 21, but Coup Card holders get to see it first on June 20, with cocktails and small plates on the house. To get your card and attend, call 7738934999 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Getting there: Dirty Buns, 9A, Trade View Building, Kamala Mills Compound, gate no. 4, Lower Parel, 5 pm to 1 am.
