The experience you have at D:OH!, the new Kamala Mills restaurant from the Indigo Deli stable, will depend on the clock. When it opens at 9 am, it’s best for your hurried grab-and-go breakfast; mid-mornings are for lingering, coffee and books; work lunchers will swarm in during the afternoons; and nights are dogeared for those who like to end their days at a bar. 

The 72-seater restaurant is all wood with spots of blue and green. There are tables, but also a self-service counter, community seating and a tap that lets you pour your own draught beer. The menu does not subscribe to one particular cuisine, going from dumplings and Amritsari style fish n chips to BBQ chicken melt in one breath. This “quick service-meets-retail-outlet-meets-casual-dining-room” also promises mains, well priced and well flavoured. The team recommends the peppered mutton stew.

And if you’re trying to stay off the moonshine this month, there’s a kokum spritzer, Tibetan tea and a bacon milkshake we can’t wait to share with you at breakfast. One glass, two straws please.
