Persuaded by popular demand (and a desperate need for new friends), we are reviving our most fun event, Turning Tables – and you’re invited.

Here’s how it works: Turning Tables is a fancy-pants party catered by a fancy-pants chef, held once a month at a home somewhere in Mumbai. Participating chefs have included Gresham Fernandes, Nikhil Chib and Vicki Ratnani, plus the kitchen-masters of restaurants such as Indigo, San-Qi at The Four Seasons Hotel, Graffiti in New York and The Fat Duck London.

Between 20-30 guests are invited to each meal but here’s the important thing: the idea is to meet new people and make friends, so everyone has to come solo, and you can’t know anyone else attending. Plus, you can hang with the chef and maybe score a recipe.

No, this is not a singles event – although we have witnessed several happy hook-ups. You’re perfectly welcome if you’re single, committed (your partner can attend the next one), too old to care, too young to date. All you have to do is write in with a little bit about yourself, and we’ll pick you if we think you’re interesting.

Our new season begins on Saturday, March 11 with a farm-to-table, six course brunch cooked by Chef Prateek Sadhu of the buzzy new restaurant, Masque. We’re super excited about the menu, and you should be too – it will include dishes carefully prepared and beautifully served, including Duck Cigars and Lotus Root Donuts, Singapore Chilli Crab and mushroom bibimbap, French toast and lots of Pondicherry Chocolate, and will accommodate both vegetarians and carnivores. The home address will be sent out via email to invited guests, and will be located in Bandra or South Bombay.

The event is BYOB, free of charge and currently open only to our Coup Card members. Don’t have one yet? Get yours here and write in quickly – we can’t wait to meet you!
