Dolcemi: Mirella, part-Sicilian and part-Venetian, arrived in the city from Padua, Italy to make you four types of tiramisu (the classic is our favourite). Together with entrepreneur and gourmand Kaveer Shahani, she delivers these, plus the best Italian desserts including the gluten free & keto-friendly pastine de mandorla, coffee semifreddo, chocolate salami and biscotti, so you can shine as host at your next party.
Deliciae: Game of Thrones may be over, but we know a place where delicious Dark Knights can still be found. Enter Deliciae in Khar (they have a new dessert shop!), where cakes named after knights and made with fresh fruit and cream, caramel and Belgian chocolate can be ordered. Our favourite is the carrot cake, perfect for the birthday bunny in your life.

Eighth: Anurita Ghoshal bakes the most romantic teacakes, spiking sponge with lemon and poppy seeds, lavender and milk, blueberry and coffee, and chocolate chips the size of marbles. She also bakes divine brown butter madeleines and tarts. Order a day in advance, and if cravings strike now, call the kitchen to see what kind of cookies are in the oven; she does mean chocolate chip ones. Anurita also conducts baking classes for grown ups and kids at her Bandra studio.

Le 15 Patisserie: Most celebrities spoon Le 15’s cakes and dessert on their birthdays and special occasions, and founder/baker Pooja Dhingra is the granter of their wishes. Le 15 favourites include chocolate ganache cakes layered with hazelnut and butterscotch chips, Opera, red velvet and of course, the signature giant macaron cake. In stores, you can pick up cupcakes, choux and macaons. We love how she’s always experimenting with new gateau flavours in the kitchen – befriend her and you get to be guinea pig. Cream come true! Pooja also conducts dessert making classes at Studio 15, Parel so you can have a piece of the action at home.
Tiffin Tales: This dessert maker’s Instagram page is where you should go to find pie porn. Tiffin Tales’ making-of pictures of lovely latticed piescontaining salted caramel apple and in suitable months, strawberries, mangoes and jamun are to die for. Heena, who is also dessert chef consultant at The Bombay Canteen, does cakes too; our favourites are 70% Valrhona dark chocolate-hazelnut, coconut cream, S’mores and black forest.
