Crust fund babies, we come with news from the team of PizzaExpress, who say they've been working on opening a new kind of restaurant in India for a while now. The result is The Bandra Project, a "community bar and kitchen" that opens next Monday, July 17th, on Pali Hill.
A seasonal food and drinks menu will change every quarter they say. Next week, come here to drink specialty cocktails made with stewed strawberries and ripe pineapple syrup; eat spaghetti made with bottle masala; migas, Spanish-style eggs; tuna sandwiches, and -- in case you were wondering -- pizza. It opens at 8 am and promises quiet during the day (there's a lotus pond somewhere on the premises) and laser lights and a DJ at night. Designer Ayaz Basrai promises "a relaxed explosion of flora." We'll try not to tip over into those lotuses.
Getting there: The Bandra Project by PizzaExpress opens on Monday, July 17 at C – 534A, Ground Floor, HSBC Bank Building, Pali Road, Bandra West.
Sponsored: Take an Uber when you head up to The Bandra Project next week.
