The not so new and not so old member of the Haus family – Asian Haus, Dilli Haus, Sushi Haus – is the kind, skilled and very lovely Amma’s Haus, which delivers all kinds of culinary treats inspired from South India, made with extra love.

Amma’s Haus translates to ‘Mother’s House’ and the idea behind this gourmet delivery service is to keep the spirit of South Indian food simple, flavourful, authentic and home-style, but to also incorporate playful experimentation. For instance, Quinoa Carrot Patties, Goan Chorizo Pulao, Okra Chips, Prawn Dosa and Chilli Prawn Spring Rolls. If you like your tradition in tact, the menu has a lot of options too – Gunpowder Idlis, Kottu Parantha, Chicken Chettinad, Kerala Chicken Stew, Hyderbadi Mutton Biryani, Tomato Rasam and more. The menu is focused on the six Southern states of Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka.

Amma’s Haus menu was created after conducting comprehensive trials for over a year. Each of the chefs are skilled in a cuisine specific to a region, to ensure our dishes retain their authentic blend of aromatic spices, flavours and ingredients. Many authentic recipes come from the kitchen of Mr. Kula Naidu, one of the co-founders of the Haus brand. He recommends Naidu’s Spinach Dal, cooked just the way his mom makes it; and above all, the food is tasty, hygienic and delivered promptly.

“With Amma’s Haus menu, we hope to make cuisine from South India more accessible in the North, and take the selection beyond idli and dosa,” the team tells us.

Now here’s our favourite bit: Amma also delivers at midnight (until 1 am), which means you can get a post-drinks Payasam delivered right to your doorstep. Talk about TLC.
