Tourists in Kolkata who have been well advised to find Iti Misra, are rewarded with culinary lessons and elegant home-cooked meals. This self-taught cook who travels the country conducting pop-ups, is doing a Durga pujo special thaal at Monkey Bar, Delhi from September 24 to 30.

There’s no pizza this pujo, but sign up to gorge on Iti Aunty’s Pujor Special Thaala, which comes in three variants –vegetarian, seafood and chicken – and each serves two people. Portions of spicy aloo dum topped with bhaja masala, crisp and flaky Mughlai Porota, fluffy luchis, Begun Kasundi, plastic (papaya) chutney, delicately flavoured with aam aada and tangy tomato chutney can be found on all platters. Mains, depending on your dietary preference will range from Dhokaar Dalna and Parval stuffed with spicy chhana or paneer to Fish Kochuri, chicken kosha, omelette curry and Kamala Bhetki, fish cooked in fresh orange juice! #Blessed, indeed.

Happy pujo and remember to plug this plan into your pandal hopping.

Getting there: From September 24 to 30, plot no 11, Pocket C 6 & 7, Commercial Complex Vasant Kunj, call 41095155.
