#TribalGourmet’s Tanisha Phanbuh joins forces with her husband and wonder mixologist Nitin Tewari to create a #NorthEasternPopUp experience at Ek Bar that should not be missed.
Why? Because they’re bringing to you small plates with big hearts, cooked with ingredients from Tanisha’s garden in Shillong. We’re already holding a pluck-card that says ‘I love you’.
The menu features Tungrymbai on Toast, fermented soybean paste spread on crispy toast; momos in banana blossoms with perilla seeds and smoked pork and bamboo shoot flavours; Classic Chicken Wings that get their fire from bhut jolokia; Khajing Bora, Manipuri style shrimp pakoras served with chilli garlic chutney; and the showstopper, Tanisha’s Famous Pork, braised belly tossed in black sesame gravy, garnished with red radish.
Meanwhile, Nitin, an award winning mixologist also uses this North Eastern influence at the bar, whipping up Bhut Jolokia Marys, Beeda Tonics and Smoked Pork Old Fashioned.
