Bring your next kiss to the mistletoes at Toast & Tonic, where holiday celebrations are on in full swing. The East Village-style bar and restaurant has a sparkly four day schedule, chockfull of holiday treats and winter ingredients. 

Seen across the menu is a trendy interpretation of the season’s bounty, beginning with roasted pumpkin soup and sautéed warm winter beans with peanut sauce. For a fresh, breezier Christmas treat get the winter salad built with mixed greens, cranberry vinaigrette, spiced walnuts and sliced water chestnuts. 

The Smoked Chicken Tart is also a good holiday companion, but more decadent – if that’s your style - is the Lobster Lasagna featuring butter poached lobster, smoked mushrooms, ricotta and drumstick leaf pesto. Yum! 

Another great centrepiece for a Christmas table is the Braised Lamb Shoulder served with goat cheese potato mash, braised local greens and chimichurri. Meanwhile, the big chicken is stuffed with house-made sourdough stuffing, brussel sprouts and barley on the side with a zereshk berry jus. Herbivores come with us to the Veg Nutloaf, comprising local lentils, walnuts and finished with tomato butter. We promise it’s just as good as meat!

And at the end, some sweets to go with your cocktails made with signature G&T’s and cocktails. First, get the Chocolate Buche de Noel served with vanilla bean anglaise and a cocoa nib tuile; and end with the gift-worthy Toast & Tonic Christmas Pudding framed with spiced apple foam and brandy orange sauce.
