Our favourite forks from Burma Burma have just returned from their travels, and as always, they come bearing the best kind of gifts - food stories and fresh flavours.

The 4th edition of their Thingyan (Burmese New Year) festival is upon us, and available as a limited edition menu at Bangalore (May 10 to May 26); and Mumbai (May 17 to June 2) outposts.

Bring your singing bowls forward for this edition seeks inspiration from the countryside of Myanmar, where the team spent last year interacting and travelling with the locals in Central and Southern parts of the country, in small? hilly and coastal regions like Hpa – An, Mawlamyine at the Burma–Thai border, Mon, Kayah and Kayin states.

The result is a rainbow of small plates and set meals bearing fresh, eclectic flavours. While the focus is on street food and community meals, the Burma Burma founders wanted to ensure that their Thingyan experience reflects the humble hospitality they experienced while dinning in the quaint villages of Burma. And so came the underlying philosophy of this 4th Thingyan celebration - sharing.

Bring your friends and family and colleagues to sample the vibrant flavors from the Mon and Kayin states of Burma reflected in home style cooking, reinvention of traditional snacks and local use of modern day healthy ingredients.
